Dortmund ace ready to seal Asian move

Borussia Dortmund's Lucas Barrios has reportedly agreed to join Chinese outfit Guangzhou Evergrande at the end of the season. According to German daily Bild, the 27 year-old has put pen to paper on a four-year deal which will net him an annual salary of €6.7 million after Guangzhou met the player's €12 million release clause. A key player for the Bundesliga leaders in previous seasons, Barrios has found himself playing second fiddle to Robert Lewandowski this term and the Paraguay international insisted in February he would quit the club if he continued warming the substitutes' bench. Fulham were close to signing him in the January transfer window but a deal never materialised. Ligue 1's Marseille and Spanish club Malaga were also rumoured to have been interested in his services. The Argentina-born striker has scored 36 goals in 80 league appearances for Dortmund since arriving from Chile's Colo Colo in 2009.
