Arsenal youngster looking forward to gaining first-team experience

Arsenal teenager Nicholas Yennaris is hoping to help Notts County win promotion after joining the League One club on loan. Yennaris has made three appearances for Arsenal this season, but linked up with the Magpies last week for the remainder of the campaign. The 18-year-old, who can play in defence or midfield, made his debut in Saturday's 0-0 draw with Scunthorpe United and is looking forward to gaining experience at Meadow Lane. "The move was a bit of a surprise and a rush," said Yennaris in the Nottingham Evening Post. "It's a great opportunity for me to be playing league games regularly because there aren't many games in the reserve league. "You know you are playing for something here too because we're trying to get into the play-offs. It's not the same in the reserves. "I believe I can make an impact. Everyone has welcomed me and I'm really looking forward to playing more games before the end of the season. Hopefully I can help the club get promoted."
