Injury cuts Seip's season short

Bradford defender Marcel Seip has been ruled out of action for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury.

The former Plymouth man has missed the Bantams' last three matches after aggravating an old problem in the 1-0 defeat to Aldershot on March 17. The 29-year-old is set to undergo an operation on the trouble area on Friday and will not be available to Bradford manager Phil Parkinson for the remainder of the campaign. "What I didn't explain to the press before the (Crawley) match (on Tuesday) was that we had received the details of Marcel's scan," Parkinson told the Bantams' official website. "Those results showed that the shoulder injury was a lot worse than we initially were led to believe. "Basically the results of the scan means that Marcel is going to have to undergo an operation on Friday and he'll be out for the rest of the season."
