Charlton's Scott Wagstaff celebrated his 22nd birthday in style by scoring the opener in the 2-0 win over Leyton Orient.

His seventh-minute strike was his fifth goal of the season as the Addicks maintained top spot in League One. Wagstaff told the club's official website: "I was pleased to get a goal and the three points in the end. That's what we really wanted, and obviously it was on my birthday as well, so I was really pleased with it. "The boys have said it was an own goal, but it was definitely my goal - it definitely hit me. As a winger, I want to be getting into the box and getting a lot of goals, but I also want to bring assists to my game as well." He also praised manager Chris Powell's team spirit and said that although there was a long way to go, the team was focused on promotion. "Hopefully now we can kick on and get promoted as quickly as we can - that's our aim. We've just got to keep getting the points until we're mathematically up," he added.
