Pulis says Crouch is 'game changer'

Stoke boss Tony Pulis feels Peter Crouch deserves a spot in the England squad for Euro 2012 after he scored the winner against Wolves. Crouch netted the winner just past the hour mark to condemn Wolves to their sixth successive defeat. Pulis believes Crouch should be a must for England for this summer's European Championship in Ukraine and Poland feeling he is a game changer. "I'd definitely take Peter to the Euros because he's a game changer and I don't think foreign sides like playing against Peter. We found that in Europe," he said. "He gives you that aerial presence. Whoever is picking the team, and we don't know who that is yet, but Peter is a game changer and you need them in your side."

Response

Stoke's season has shown signs of petering out, following their first ever voyage into Europe, with a 2-0 defeat at Wigan last time out. But Pulis was full of credit for his side getting back to winning ways against Wolves, adding: "It was more about the result today. That was our 50th game today - the energy and commitment was first class. "This club has never done what it has done this year. The players have to be commended. "We've played better than what we've done today, but I still think we deserved to win."
