Roberto Di Matteo has criticised the way video technology is used after the Football Association found Branislav Ivanovic guilty of violent conduct.
The Chelsea boss will be without the defender for three games after the FA used retrospective video evidence to find Ivanovic guilty of striking Wigan midfielder Shaun Maloney.
The Italian was quick to point to the fact that QPR midfielder Shaun Derry failed to overturn his controversial red card at Manchester United this week, while Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli's studs-up challenge on Arsenal's Alex Song escaped retrospective punishment.
And Di Matteo called for consistency from the governing body as he prepares to face some of the most important games in Chelsea's season without one of his star performers - including Sunday's FA Cup semi-final with Tottenham.

Di Matteo said: "I think everyone is looking for consistency in their decision-making. That's what is most important for everybody, all the stakeholders involved - consistency.
"They would have to review the decision-making and the way they give these bans, and hopefully come up with a more balanced outcome.
"You look at the images and you think: 'We're using video footage for that, okay, but we don't use goal-line technology'.
"Why not? If we're using it for that, why can't we use it for the goals? So that's why it has to be reviewed.
"There has to be a more balanced look at it - and that's what they have to look at in the summer."
Gareth Bale attempted to stoke up the tension before Sunday's match by announcing that Tottenham were better the better side and Chelsea will be weakened because of forthcoming fixtures.
Chelsea face a tough Champions League semi-final against the holders Barcelona just days after the Wembley clash.
And with Spurs currently occupying the final Champions League qualification spot a victory could be Chelsea's only way into the money-spinning tournament next season.
But Di Matteo refused to get involved in a war of words with Bale and insists he will pick his strongest line-up in the clubs' FA Cup semi-final.
"We respect his opinion and we'll see on Sunday," he added. "Obviously, I don't agree with him."
"We played them twice in the league and both games were quite balanced in that sense.
"When you play a one-off game, it's difficult to say who's the favourite because of the form the team's in. The dynamic of the game is different.
"This is a decisive game. We are in good form. We've been getting some good results and the players are confident."
