Bundesliga club Hamburg have revealed that they are interested in signing Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt. The Dutchman has made 30 Premier League appearances for the Reds this season, but has started just 21 of those games. He has been linked with a move away from the club in the summer with Feyenoord also interested in his services. Kuyt has been with Liverpool since 2006 and has been a popular personality with the club but the squad faces a potential revamp this summer after a disappointing league campaign. The 32-year-old has scored a number of important goals during his career with the Merseyside outfit, but has only bagged two goals this term. Hamburg are just above the relegation zone in Germany's top flight but technical director Frank Arnesen has expressed his interest in Kuyt.

Good shape

He said: "A player like Kuyt, who is still in good shape, can add something to any team. "He is a real team-player with an excellent attitude." However, despite the interest, Kuyt's agent Rob Jansen has confirmed that the player has not been in negotiations with any club. He said: "There have not been any talks with Arnesen or with someone else from HSV. "Would Kuyt be interested in a move to the Bundesliga? I can't say anything about that. "A lot of clubs have made enquiries, but there's nothing concrete now."
