West Brom boss has no complaint after Villa game

West Bromwich Albion manager Roy Hodgson believes that his side's goalless draw with Aston Villa at The Hawthorns on Saturday was a just result. Both teams had legitimate penalty appeals turned down and had a number of chances, especially in the second half. However, the Premier League clash between the West Midlands rivals ended in a scoreless draw, leaving Hodgson pleased with the final outcome. "I would have been proud if we had won the game," he told Sky Sports. "But it was certainly a strange 0-0. "There were certainly a number of chances on both sides, and if it had ended 2-2 or 3-3 it would have been more appropriate. "I am pleased that we got another clean sheet as they are battling for their lives, and I am glad that we will finish above them. "The public would have preferred a 3-3, which would have probably been a more normal result." When asked about the penalty appeals from both teams, Hodgson stated: "It was not an unfair result. "These things happen in football and we have seen the decisions do go wrong from time to time."
