Walker delighted to net in win over Blackburn

Tottenham ace Kyle Walker revealed he does not rehearse free-kicks but it 'felt right' after he hit a stunner in the 2-0 win over Blackburn. The recently-named PFA Young Player of the Year curled a beautifully struck set-piece into the top corner of the net on 75 minutes, giving Blackburn goalkeeper Paul Robinson no chance. Spurs had dominated the game up to that point but had only one Rafael van der Vaart goal and Walker's long range effort ended any doubts of victory. He told Sky Sports: "I don't practice them or anything. I just felt it was right, you know, when you get a feeling, and luckily it went in.

Ease pressure

"I think you always need that second goal just to ease the pressure and then you can just pass it around and keep composed. "But I thought it was a good team performance all around, from back to front, and we just take that into the next game, really." Walker hailed Spurs' passing game in the win, as he added: "I think with the players that we've got, we're going to dominate most games and I think passing the ball as we do, as the Spurs way, it worked out well for us today."
