Defender focused on ending his United career on a high

Garry Kenneth is hoping to end his Dundee United career on a high, but admits he is no nearer to finding a club for next season. The 24-year-old defender has taken the decision to move on after graduating through the academy system at Tannadice and spending six years in the first-team fold. With his contract set to expire in the summer, he will head for pastures new as a free agent. He is delighted to have shaken off an injury in time to be able to play some part in United's quest for European qualification and is ready to give his all in their final fixtures. Kenneth will have to turn his attention to his own future at some stage, but he is prepared to put the pursuit of a new club to one side for now. He told the Daily Record: "There were a few doubts at one stage that I might not play again this season.

Concentration

"I would have hated to leave on a low while injured. That was the worst case scenario. "I was never going to leave without playing again, even for the last few minutes of our final game. "So it was great to get a chance against Hearts and I was quite happy with how I played. "Obviously I'll be going in the summer but I'm no further forward in getting a new club. "But right now all I am concentrating on is playing here and we'll see what happens at the end of the season."
