Romanian defender plans to honour contract

Dorin Goian has no intention of turning his back on Rangers after just one season in Scotland, with it his desire to honour his contract. The ongoing financial uncertainty at Ibrox has left all of those connected with the club sweating on their futures. A mass exodus of talent is being predicted this summer, with top earners having agreed to sizeable wage cuts. Goian will not be among those looking for a way out, though, with the Romanian defender having enjoyed his time in Glasgow. He may have a clause in his contract that will allow him to leave for a cut-price fee, but he has no plans to go looking for a buyer. "It has been a difficult year for everyone connected with Rangers. But despite those problems, it was also nice for me," Goian said. "I want to stay. I have a contract for another two years and want to play for Rangers."
