Blackpool winger Tom Ince is bracing himself for a torrent of abuse from the West Ham fans when they meet in the Championship play-off final.
The 20-year-old is the son of Paul, who famously posed in a Manchester United shirt while still a Hammers player 22 years ago.
It is something the Upton Park fans have never forgotten and have taken every opportunity to remind the fleet-footed wide man of their feelings for his father.
"I went to West Ham back in October and got slaughtered there, simply because of the name on my back," Ince said.
"We got beaten 4-0 at Upton Park and they couldn't get enough of it. But I think I'll come in for worse at Wembley. It happens.
"I got stick off the fans at Birmingham the other night too.
"And I've had it at five or six other grounds. But you just have to deal with the pressure of being related to someone who has done well in the game."
Self-confidence and ability is something his father possessed in bundles, and these are qualities that seem to have been inherited by the Blackpool youngster.
"Some people will always have a go at me because of my dad. So it's all his fault!" he joked.
"But I'm proud of who I am and I'm proud of my dad and what he has achieved.
"People will slaughter you because they're either jealous or they feel it will affect me.
"But, for me, it's about just playing my own game and doing what I do."
