AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri has insisted that Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be going anywhere this summer, following reports linking the pair with Manchester City.
According to reports in Italy, Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has approached Milan about signing their coveted Brazilian centre-half Thiago.
Mancini is believed to have met with Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani at the Serie A club's training ground on Monday.
But the City boss, who has also been linked with a move for Milan's Swedish striker Ibrahimovic, insisted it was simply a courtesy visit and not to discuss potential transfers.
Thiago, 27, has emerged as one of Europe's top defenders after another fine season with the Rossoneri and is also thought to have attracted the attention of Barcelona and Paris St Germain.
But Milan coach Allegri is determined to keep Thiago and Ibrahimovic, 30, at the San Siro.
"The club and the president are keen to maintain AC Milan at a high level," Allegri told the AC Milan television station.
"Ibrahimovic and Thiago will remain here. Thiago is young and Ibrahimovic can also give a lot.
"They are two champions on which Milan can build its basis for the future.
"The club is only working on replacing those players that have left."
