Germany striker raring to go ahead of Euro 2012
Miroslav Klose claims he is 'right on schedule' and ready to lead Germany's line if required at Euro 2012.
The Lazio striker heads into this summer's European Championship on the back of an injury-hit climax to the 2011/12 domestic season.
He missed five weeks of Serie A action with a thigh problem and is short on match fitness.
The 33-year-old is, however, determined to play a leading role in Germany's quest for continental glory.
Good feeling
Klose is just five short of Gerd Muller's national record of 68 goals for his country and intends to edge closer to that target in Poland and Ukraine.
"I'm right on schedule and I am pain-free," he said.
Klose is confident that Germany can justify their standing among the pre-tournament favourites, with Joachim Low's side in the best possible shape.
"I have a very good feeling we are well prepared and have a great team," said the experienced frontman, who turns 34 on Saturday when Germany face Portugal.
