Danny Swanson admits he was 'sold' on a move to Peterborough United by Darren Ferguson after signing a two-year contract to join from Dundee United.
The midfielder was out of contract at Tannadice and was a target for the likes of Brighton & Hove Albion and MK Dons after deciding on a move to England.
The 25-year-old confirmed he spoke to other clubs, but is confident he has made the right decision for his future after finalising his switch to Peterborough.
"I am very happy to be here and am very much looking forward to playing for Peterborough," Swanson told the club's official website. "I was very impressed with the manager Darren Ferguson.
"I have spoken to a few clubs and I have to say that Darren sold the club to me. He told me the formations the team play and where I would fit into that shape, and it is great that a manager knows so much about you.
"Peterborough play good football, that is very evident from the DVDs I have seen and also the things that some of my friends in the Championship have said."
Posh boss Ferguson added: "I am really pleased to sign Danny, we have watched him and my contacts in Scotland have nothing but positives to say about the lad.
"He can play anywhere across the front, he can go left or right, and I believe this is a great signing for the football club."
