Everton defender Joseph Yobo hopes he can complete a permanent move to Fenerbahce in the near future and believes the Turkish top-flight is superior to the Premier League.
The Nigerian centre-half is keen to return to the Istanbul club on a full-time basis after spending the last two seasons there on loan, notching up 69 appearances and helping them to league and cup success last term.
The Toffees are thought to be in negotiations with Fenerbahce over a transfer fee, with the Turkish side reportedly yet to meet their valuation of the 31-year-old.
Yobo, who is contracted at Goodison Park until 2014, feels last season's loan has been the making of his club career and is desperate to return to Turkey.
"Moving to Fenerbahce was the best thing in my career," Yobo told the
Liverpool Echo.
"I joined them because I was eager to win silverware. The 2011 Super Lig title and the Turkish Cup justified that. I hope my permanent move to Fenerbahce is concluded soon."
He added: "The Turkish league is more technical than the Premier League. The Premier League is more physical and most popular in the world, but after playing for seven years in England, I think the Turkish league is of a better quality."
