Walsall defender, Tranmere man and Hereford striker targeted

Sky Sports understands Manny Smith is set to be just one of three new signings for Notts County this week. Smith is lined up to join the Magpies with the 23-year-old Walsall defender believed to be penning a two-year deal at Meadow Lane. But manager Keith Curle is also looking to bring in youngster Joss Labadie following his release by Tranmere at the end of last season. The 21-year-old midfielder began his career at West Bromwich Albion and had loan spells with Shrewsbury and Cheltenham before joining Rovers in 2010. County are also keen to bolster their forward line with the acquisition of Hereford striker Yoann Arquin. The 24-year-old Frenchman arrived in English football having spent time at Paris St Germain and scored nine goals for the Bulls last season despite making just 17 starts in all competitions. Curle is aiming to build on a promising start to his Notts County reign, having picked up 33 points from 16 games since being appointed in February.
