Andy Gray is back where it all began for him, with Leeds United having offered him an opportunity to impress during a trial spell.
The former Scotland international began his career on the books at Elland Road, having graduated through the Whites' academy ranks.
He left for Nottingham Forest in 1998 and has gone on to represent nine clubs in 14 years.
The latest of those was Leeds' Yorkshire rivals Barnsley, where he saw his contract run out at the end of last season.
Training
Gray is keen to keep his fitness up as he searches for a new club and Leeds have allowed him to form part of their pre-season preparations.
The 34-year-old is a player well known to Whites boss Neil Warnock, with the pair having worked together at Sheffield United, and there is a possibility that terms could be thrashed out.
"Andy asked if he could come and train with us and we have allowed him to do that," said Warnock.
"We will take a look at him and see how it goes."
