Southampton need to up offer for Lens
PSV Eindhoven have rejected Southampton's offer for Jeremain Lens, sources at the Dutch club have confirmed to Sky Sports.
Sky Sports revealed on Thursday that the Saints had made a move for the PSV forward - but that has fallen short of their valuation.
PSV technical Marcel Brands has turned down the offer, insisting they want to keep the Holland international.
Agent Sigi Lens, the player's uncle, insists he is happy at PSV, but would look at any interesting offers.
"I believe that every player with ambition has to be open to interest, provided it is good for his career," he said told Eindhoven Dagblad.
"He ended last season well with PSV and is happy, and he is in contention for the Dutch national side so it would need to be a very good offer."
