Chris Hughton admits he is keeping one eye on the transfer market, but will only be adding to his Norwich squad if the right opportunity arises.
The Canaries do not have a bottomless pit of cash to dip into and must tread carefully with any moves they make.
Four fresh faces have already been added to the Carrow Road ranks, with Hughton looking to strengthen the group he inherited from Paul Lambert.
He admits there could be further arrivals, but has made it clear that business will only be done if the numbers stack up.
Asked if he was planning on doing any more deals, Hughton told
Sky Sports News HD: "If it's right for us.

"With our scouting department, we are the same as everyone else. If we have an opportunity and it's right and it's within the right structure that we have here to continue to strengthen, we will look at those possibilities. But it's got to be right for us.
"What's essential is that we go into the season, or we finish the end of this window, with what we have got and what we can have to be competitive enough."
Among those to have been drafted in by Hughton is former Rangers defender Steven Whittaker, and he insists a knock picked up during a pre-season friendly date with Ajax will not keep the Scotland international sidelined for long.
"It's not as bad as it could have been," he said.
"You fear a little bit of the worst when it happened, because he was sore, but it's not as bad as it could have been. It will keep him out for a couple of weeks."
