Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has revealed he has made transfer enquiries about Lazio defender Javier Garrido and Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Mark Bunn.
But the Canaries boss insists the pair are just two names on a long list of targets ahead of the new Premier League season which starts on Saturday.
It has been claimed Hughton is lining up a season-long loan deal for former Manchester City left-back Garrido and a £500,000 move for Blackburn understudy Bunn.
City are looking to strengthen their left-back options following the summer departure of Adam Drury to Leeds, while 27-year-old Bunn would provide valuable competition for England cap John Ruddy.
"Yes, enquiries have been made but as with so much stuff that gets into the public domain it is enquiries," said Hughton. "We have made similar enquiries about numerous players."
On Garrido, he added: "He is one we are aware of. I can confirm there has been some contact between the two clubs and he is a player we do like.
"When there is something concrete and official to be said we'll say it."
As well as Ruddy, Hughton also has young duo Declan Rudd and Jed Steer on his goalkeeping books and one of the pair could move away on a temporary basis if Bunn is recruited.
"It is an area that I would like to bring in someone and that is not detrimental to the two young keepers we have got here," said Hughton.
"We will look at the opportunity to get one of them out on loan to get valuable experience."
