Sunderland striker Louis Saha is targeting trophies as he looks to rekindle his love affair with the North East.
Saha had a spell on loan at Newcastle in the 1998-99 season and has returned to the area 13 years on as a free transfer arrival for Martin O'Neill's Black Cats, making his debut in Saturday's goalless draw at Arsenal.
"I realised from an early age the people up here are special," said Saha.
"I really enjoyed my short time at Newcastle and this is another great opportunity for me.
"Not many footballers play for both clubs but I feel lucky."
Not finished
After spells with Fulham, Manchester United, Everton and Tottenham in the intervening period, Sunderland become the 34-year-old's sixth Premier League club - and he is as ambitious as ever.
"I've had a great career in England and it is not finished," added the France international.
"Despite the injuries, I have had many highs and obviously winning trophies with Manchester United were the best times.
"I have come to Sunderland not only to score goals but to try and win trophies.
"We did well at Arsenal last week and if we keep showing that commitment we'll be fine."
