Cardiff have completed the signing of forward Tommy Smith from Queens Park Rangers on a two-year contract. Sky Sports revealed on Thursday that the 32-year-old was undergoing a medical with the Championship club and he has now put pen to paper. He becomes the third player to make the move to the Cardiff City Stadium from Loftus Road this summer, following in the footsteps of Heidar Helguson and Matthew Connolly. Rs boss Mark Hughes decided Smith was surplus to requirements with the Premier League side after bring in a host of new faces this summer. The former Watford, Sunderland, Derby and Portsmouth man has a wealth of Championship experience in his career and could feature in Saturday's clash at Bristol City. A statement on QPR's official website read: "The club would like to thank Tommy for his services and wish him every success for the future."
