Senegal international arrives at Portman Road on season-long loan

Ipswich have confirmed the signing of Senegal midfielder Guirane N'Daw on a season-long loan deal from St Etienne. The 27-year-old agreed terms at Portman Road on Thursday after passing a medical and the move will be finalised shortly subject to FIFA international clearance. N'Daw, who previously spent time on loan at Birmingham, is unlikely to travel with the squad to Blackpool this weekend after returning to France briefly before reporting for training next week. "I'm delighted to add Guirane to the squad and he's coming here for a year," manager Paul Jewell told the club's official website. "We've been trying to get him for a while, so I'm pleased to finally bring him in. He will bring some physical presence and stature to the squad. "He's a good addition to the squad but first he will need to earn the right to get into the side."
