Middlesbrough would like striker as part of Emnes deal

Sky Sports understands Middlesbrough would like Stephen Dobbie included in any deal that could take Marvin Emnes to Swansea. The Swans have been long-term admirers of the Dutch forward and have seen more than one bid to sign Emnes rejected in the past 12 months. Emnes is a popular figure in South Wales following a brief loan stint at the Liberty Stadium in 2010. He returned to Boro, though, and under Tony Mowbray produced some top form last season, scoring 18 times. Now Swansea are looking at replacements for Manchester City-bound Scott Sinclair and have returned to the negotiating table for Emnes. Whilst Boro would ideally not like to lose Emnes, they are contemplating his sale as it would allow Mowbray to further add to his squad. And one of those players he would like to bring in is Dobbie, who has seen a move to Blackpool falter in recent weeks. Boro have told Swansea they would like Dobbie included and the Swans are open to the idea, which means a deal before Friday's deadline looks more likely.
