Bolton Wanderers wingback Marcos Alonso is relishing the chance to play against Birmingham City away from home in the Championship on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old started his first game for the Trotters in almost six months against Watford on Saturday, and helped them to a 2-1 victory at the Reebok Stadium.
Alonso, who joined Bolton from Real Madrid in July 2010, was delighted to be back in the team and is hoping for a second successive start against the Blues.
"It was nice to be back in the team," he said in The Manchester Evening News.
"After doing a really good pre-season, seeing that I wasn't in the side against Burnley [on the opening day of the campaign] was difficult. It was hard to keep going.
"I really need a lot of games to keep up my confidence and my fitness. I think if I can do that, you'll see a very different Marcos Alonso and I'm sure people will enjoy that."
Bolton are currently 11th in the table with seven points from five matches, four points behind leaders Blackburn Rovers.
