Leicester City defender Liam Moore has agreed a new three-year contract at the King Power Stadium.
Highly-rated central defender Moore has established himself in the Foxes first team this season, starting six of their eight games in all competitions.
Moore's form has not gone unnoticed with several Premier League clubs credited with an interest in the 19-year-old.
However, Leicester have moved to secure Moore's long-term future by tying him down to a new deal to keep him at the club until 2015.
"Liam has made excellent progress since graduating from the academy and has shown a great deal of quality and maturity since being regularly involved with the first-team squad," Pearson told the club's
official website.
"His talent will be obvious to those who have seen him play, but he's also a very level-headed young man that has adapted remarkably well to the demands of the Championship.
"He still has plenty to learn, but I am delighted to have him as part of our long-term plans."
Son joins Dad
Meanwhile, Leicester have signed James Pearson, son of City boss Nigel, on a one-year deal after impressing on trial.
Young duo Harry Panayiotou and Joe Dodoo have also agreed their first professional contracts with the Championship clubs.
