The centre-back was forced out of the action with an ankle injury during the 1-0 reverse to Huddersfield on Saturday.
A full assessment of the problem has revealed no major damage, and Davies is expected to be fit for the visit of Leicester on 20th October.
On-loan right-back James Hurst has also recovered from the cramp which forced him off during the second half of the same game.
Meanwhile, fellow defenders David Murphy (hamstring), Pablo Ibanez (broken toe) and Will Packwood (back) are all battling to be fit to face the Foxes after the international break.
One man who definitely will not be available is striker Nikola Zigic, who will start a three-match ban after the club opted not to appeal his dismissal against the Terriers for a high challenge on Calum Woods.
