The 20-year-old defender completed a move to White Hart Lane shortly after the January transfer window swung open, with Spurs delighted to acquire the services of a player they had been chasing for some time.
Fryers had appeared set to link up with Tottenham last summer, as he spent time training with the club, but no compensation package was agreed with his former employers Manchester United.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is less than impressed at seeing Fryers back in England so quickly after watching him head for Belgium and has accused Spurs of setting up a secret deal to sign the defender on the cheap.
The capital outfit insist they have done nothing wrong and Fryers is now looking forward to challenging for first-team recognition under Andre Villas-Boas.
"It's been great so far, mixing in with the lads and the facilities here are great to learn and to get better," he told the club's official website.
"I knew a couple of the lads from England youth internationals and I pretty much know everyone already. I've just got to know the staff now. I'm very happy to be here."
Having already figured in two fixtures for Spurs - one for the development squad against Charlton and for the U21 side against Wolves - Fryers added: "It was great to play in the friendly (against Charlton) last week, playing 60 minutes and I played 90 minutes against Wolves. I've now got to build on that."
