The 19-year-old midfielder is the latest product of the famed academy system at Selhurst Park to make his mark in the senior ranks.
Much of the attention this season may have been focused on his club colleague Wilfried Zaha, who has already earned himself a move to Manchester United, but Williams is being touted as the man most likely to be treading a similar path in the not too distant future.
Manchester City are already said to hold an interest, but Williams is looking to avoid any distractions between now and May, with the youngster determined to make it into the Premier League with Palace.
Williams, who has shone this season after bouncing back from a broken leg, said: "If we were in the top two and then fell out at the end it would be a blow going into the play-offs.
"But as we're third with nothing to lose, we can just come up and nick it at the end of the season.
"At the start of the season if someone had said top six, then that would have been great.
"It would be a dream to go up. To be at the club for so long and to get promoted, after all the stuff I've had with injury would be a dream come true.
"I was there at the play-off final in 2004 with my brother and my dad. And to think this team could actually achieve that this year is mind-blowing."
