The Primera Liga outfit are known to be experiencing financial difficulties, despite being bankrolled by wealthy Qatari owners.
It has been speculated that a number of players will be allowed to move on in the summer if suitable offers are tabled.
Experienced French midfielder Toulalan is among those said to be attracting interest from afar, but the 29-year-old says he would be happy to remain in Spain for the foreseeable future.
He told L'Equipe: "I don't know what will happen.
"People talk about Malaga's financial problems, but after Real Madrid and Barcelona they are the Spanish club that pays its players the best.
"I have everything here. There is real quality of life, we play in the Champions League and I have a very good relationship with the coach.
"I don't know what my future will hold, but every day I have fun going into training.
"In a perfect world I would like to stay, but I appreciate the club could sell me for financial reasons and I wouldn't really have any choice."
