The Saints drew 1-1 with Sunderland on Sunday to all but ensure their survival in the Premier League, with a mathematical miracle on the final day needed to drag them into the bottom three.
It represents a fine achievement for a side who were playing League One football just two years ago and it is job done for Argentine boss Pochettino, who replaced Nigel Adkins in January.
Despite their Premier League survival, speculation has surrounded the futures of a number of key players, with the likes of Nathaniel Clyne, Luke Shaw and Gaston Ramirez linked with moves away from St Mary's.
Pochettino has moved swiftly to play down those rumours, insisting he is planning to add to the side over the summer, not take it apart.
"We are happy that they put in an amazing performance in the four months I have been here," said the 41-year-old. "Will I lose my best players? No. We have a clear path at this club.
"We want to grow and look forward.
"They have showed that by signing key players on new contracts."
