The Colombian striker returned to Udinese this season after loan spells at Granada and Lecce, and he emerged as one of the best young strikers in Serie A.
Despite picking up a number of injuries, he still managed to hit double figures with 11 goals and that has seen him linked with a big-money move.
But Muriel insists he is not ready to leave the club yet, telling the Gazzetta dello Sport: "I want to grow and improve as a player.
"I want to stay in Udine for another couple of years. I have learnt so much here from boss Francesco Guidolin who helped me during my moments of difficulty."
He was very happy with how his campaign went, adding: "Scoring 10 goals was the objective and I got 11, that is very satisfying.
"I managed to achieve two targets, seeing as the other was to help Udinese qualify for next season's Europa League."
