Boro are on a run of three consecutive goalless draws and they have not scored since mid-January.
But Karanka is not too concerned as he feels they are putting in good performances.
"I am happy with the work of my team," he told Sky Sports. "When you work good, the results will arrive and I hope the goals will arrive too."
The Spaniard does, though, admit that they do have to start hitting the back of the net.
"We need to score, this is the problem we have now," he said.
"In the beginning we had mistakes. Now the whole team is defending well. We need to keep working in the same way.
"Last week against Doncaster I was very angry, but I think Saturday (Blackburn) we played very well, certainly in the first half, but couldn't score.
"I'm not happy when I don't win, but I am okay with my team for last Saturday because they did everything I asked them to when we had our meeting."
