Wycombe want Beavon back

Wycombe have made enquires to bring Preston striker Stuart Beavon back to Adams Park.

The 30-year-old scored 34 goals in 97 starts for the Chairboys before moving to Deepdale in 2012, but he managed just three goals last season. Wanderers Trust director David Roberton admitted they have looked into a move for Beavon but admits he could prove to be too expensive. "We would like Stuart Beavon to come back," he told the Bucks Free Press. "Whether or not he's going to be allowed out on loan from Preston, we don't yet know. "We spoke to Preston last week. I would doubt if we had the chance - it would probably be too expensive."
