The League Two season will get off to a lively start in east London on August 8 when Leyton Orient will play host to Barnet in a local derby.

Orient, now managed by former Barnet boss Ian Hendon, were relegated from League One last season while Barnet are back in the Football League after winning the Vanarama Conference.

Bristol Rovers are also back in League Two after winning the Conference play-off final on penalties and they start with a home match against Northampton.

Title favourites Portsmouth will hope this is the season they can start to climb back up the divisions and they begin life under new boss Paul Cook at home to Dagenham & Redbridge, while Oxford, who are also well-fancied, kick-off at home to Crawley.

Wycombe suffered an agonising penalty shoot-out loss in the League Two play-off final last month, and they start their season with a visit from York.

Former England international Teddy Sheringham is the new manager at Stevenage and they welcome Notts County on opening day, Terry Butcher begins life in charge at Newport with a trip to Cambridge and Derek Adams' reign at Plymouth begins at AFC Wimbledon.
