Queen’s Park Rangers are to re-apply for a work permit for Sandro.

The Brazilian midfielder had been unable to play in England after the Home Office discovered in May that part of his work visa had expired last December.

That saw the Home Office suspend QPR’s sponsorship licence which meant the club were unable to sponsor a visa for any player from outside the European Union.

But QPR say that issue has now been resolved and they will apply for a new permit for Sandro once they receive clearance from football authorities.

Sandro joined QPR from Tottenham last September and played 17 games for the club who were relegated to The Championship last season.

The 26-year-old’s only goal last season came against his former club Tottenham in a 2-1 defeat at Loftus Road.
