Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino says Harry Kane is at the right club to become one of the world’s leading strikers.
The England international scored 31 goals for Spurs last season and Pochettino says Kane is delighted to be kicking off the new Premier League campaign with the club he supported as a boy.
Media transfer speculation has linked the 22-year-old with a number of clubs, including Manchester United who Spurs face on the opening day of the season on Saturday.

Pochettino said: “Kane is excited to start the season with us. Any doubts about his commitment are gone. He is delighted to stay with Tottenham.
"He is a big supporter of the club. I think he is very happy and we are very happy he is with us.
"If you can do it in England and Europe, you are doing it in the best competitions in the world. I think we have very ambitious players now, the younger ones in the group, like Harry.
“We need to keep this mentality. We try to build a very strong group for the next few years to try to achieve important things. Harry can manage this pressure. He is young, but he is very mature. He is in a very good way to become one of the best strikers in the world.
"We don’t have any doubts about Harry Kane showing the same performances.”
Meanwhile, Pochettino says it is highly unlikely that Hugo Lloris will be fit to face United at the weekend.
The French goalkeeper broke his wrist in a freak accident over the summer and will only start training again this week.
Pochettino said: “His wrist was an accident. He broke it close to the swimming pool. It was unlucky because he’s a goalkeeper.
“In terms of Saturday, it’s tough. It’s not easy because we do a lot of work on physical condition. But maybe this week he will start to catch the ball.
“Maybe it’s early to think he will play on Saturday but maybe he has a small chance. We don’t decide yet.”
