Just one place separates the two sides in the Premier League but Spurs head to Old Trafford with a six-point advantage they'll be keen to extend.

Key to strengthening Spurs' title and top-four ambitions will be Harry Kane, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic will again be the focal point of United's attack as they look to narrow the gap.

If those two fail to find the net, the responsibility will fall to the likes of Anthony Martial and Heung-Min Son.

But which forwards do guests Phil Thompson and Danny Higginbotham prefer? Read on as they make their selections on Premier League Daily...

Zlatan Ibrahimovic v Harry Kane

HIGGINBOTHAM SAYS: That's a tough one, it really is a tough one. At the moment, when I look at what each player means for their team, I'd go for Ibrahimovic. He's the top goalscorer at United with eight league goals - the second highest is on three. Ibrahimovic's hold-up play is fantastic and he brings team-mates into play. He is putting chances away but he needs help from midfield, like Kane does at Spurs. United's midfielders need to step up to the plate, everything is fine up until the final third where they are not putting away opportunities. If you were to take Ibrahimovic out of the United side there are question marks over who would replace him. The same can be said about Kane but Ibrahimovic plays a more important role at United because of the lack of goals from anywhere else.

THOMMO SAYS: I agree with Danny. Ibrahimovic is a superstar no matter what's been said about his age or potentially catching up with him. Kane is still a young man and while he's a superb player, Ibrahimovic, who's been there and done it, is ahead of him at the moment. Manchester United wouldn't be where they are without Ibrahimovic's contribution. Kane has had all of his injuries and he's just coming back to form. He certainly works a lot harder than Ibrahimovic does but does that make him a better player? I'm afraid not.

Anthony Martial v Heung-Min Son

THOMMO SAYS: Son is by far the better player. If you'd have asked me at the start of the season who was going to be the star out of these two I'd have gone for Anthony Martial all day long. He had something that was special last season and he could take people on with pace. You didn't know whether he was going to outside or come inside. I don't know what's happened to this boy this season.

Technically Son is the better player, some of his goals this season have been nothing short of sensational. He's a good worker as well, he works far more than Martial and while that doesn't make you a better player, it helps. He gets stuck on the wing sometimes but he is so talented that when he does come inside he is technically superior to Martial. This season there is no comparison, Son has by far been the better player.
