Arsenal could lose up to 10 stars on free transfers or from retirement at the end of the season. We look at which Premier League players are out of contract next summer.
The ongoing Alexis Sanchez contract saga at Arsenal has dominated the headlines, but a host a fellow Gunners could leave the Emirates on free transfers in July.
Those players include Mesut Ozil, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla, Kieran Gibbs, Joel Campbell, Carl Jenkinson, Matt Macey and the retiring Per Mertesacker, according to transfermarkt.co.uk.
United also face a potential exodus, with Ander Herrera, Juan Mata, Marouane Fellaini, Michael Carrick, Luke Shaw, Daley Blind, Ashley Young, Andreas Pereira and Guillermo Varela all having entered the last year of their current deals.
However, the club confirmed they have an option to extend the contracts of all players for an additional year - with the exception of Carrick, Fellaini and Varela.
Swansea could lose Fernando Llorente, who will be partnering or competing with on-loan Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham this term, while Kyle Bartley and Angel Rangel also have expiring contracts with the Swans.
Crystal Palace have an entire team who could be free agents next summer, including Yohan Cabaye, James McArthur, Bakary Sako, Wayne Hennessey, Julian Speroni, Damien Delaney, Joel Ward, Martin Kelly, Hiram Boateng, Chung-Yong Lee and Freddie Ladapo.
West Brom and Stoke could both lose seven players, including Claudio Yacob (extension option), Chris Brunt (extension option), Gareth McAuley, Craig Dawson and James Morrison for the Baggies, and Ryan Shawcross, Peter Crouch and Glen Johnson for the Potters.
Andre Gray had entered his final year at Burnley before his £18.5m move to Watford - but the Clarets could still lose seven players for free next summer, including Dean Marney, Stephen Ward and Scott Arfield.
Everton have a high-profile quartet on expiring contracts, including Gareth Barry, Aaron Lennon, Joel Robles and Ross Barkley - who has been linked with a move to Tottenham.
Bournemouth have signed goalkeeper Asmir Begovic from Chelsea, which may see fellow Cherries stopper Artur Boruc leave the club as a free agent next summer.
Manchester City allowed five long-term servants to leave on free transfers this summer, while Yaya Toure and Fernandinho could leave for nothing in July next year.
Other big names with less than a year remaining on their contracts include Loic Remy (Chelsea), Willy Caballero (Chelsea), Emre Can (Liverpool), Robert Huth and Leonardo Ulloa (Leicester), James Collins (West Ham), Michel Vorm (Tottenham) and Jose Holebas (Watford).
