Man stabbed ahead of Tottenham's match against West Ham

A 35-year-old man is in a stable condition in hospital after being stabbed in the abdomen outside White Hart Lane on Sunday.

The Metropolitan police have confirmed they were called to an incident at 3pm on the junction between White Hart Lane and Tottenham High Road prior to Spurs' Premier League clash with West Ham.

The victim was taken to an east London hospital, where he remained on Monday morning.

Haringey Criminal Investigation Department (CID) are investigating this incident but no arrests have yet been made.

West Ham are aware of the incident and are working with police, but Tottenham were unavailable for comment when contacted by Sky Sports News HQ on Sunday.

Tottenham won the match 4-1 with goals from Harry Kane (2), Toby Alderweireld and Kyle Walker. West Ham scored through Manuel Lanzini.
