Roberto Martinez insists he'll fight for his job as Everton

Saturday's FA Cup semi-final defeat to Manchester United means a top-half finish is the last remaining target for the season and many Everton fans feel it is time for a change - a view that could influence the thinking of the Everton board.

Martinez took training as normal on Friday, 24 hours after he welcomed reports of the meeting and asked to be judged on his three years at the club - the first of which ended in a fifth-placed Premier League finish.

Now it is down to the board to decide on the best way to move the club forward in the wake of two less successful seasons since.

Martinez's cause has not been helped by a spring slump which has seen them collect just three points from seven league games.
