Leicester City's title-winning players have become legends of the game, according to Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher.
The Foxes were 5000/1 outsiders at the start of the season, but were crowned champions for the first time in their 132-year history on Monday night after Tottenham could only draw 2-2 with Chelsea.
Leicester have become the first new winners of England's top flight for 38 years and Carragher says the players have now become living legends that will inspire people all over the world.
"Leicester have given inspiration to everyone," Carragher said on Monday Night Football.
"Football had become a closed shop and no one thought that this would happen and it has happened now. You just think what can that do for the rest of football now? Could you see more of this happening?
"Arsene Wenger made a great point and said not one of these players was born on the red carpet. They all have a story to tell on how they got here.
"None of them were at huge clubs and went for big transfer fees. Jamie Vardy came from non-league. How cheap was Riyad Mahrez? There's N'Golo Kante in midfield.
"This is the inspiration for players. Not just professionals but young lads of 14,15 who get a professional contract and then get released from the game.
"They are legends for life."
Carragher also reserved special praise for manager Claudio Ranieri.
The Italian is only in his first season in charge at the King Power Stadium and he has delivered the first title win of his managerial career.
"Let's not forget the reaction when he got the job, he was laughed out of town let's be honest," he added.
"In the management game there are very few people who are respected as winners and everyone else gets slaughtered but Ranieri has been around for 20 years and managed big players at top clubs and he has missed out on trophies and we don't accept that as being a top manager.
"Finally now he may get the credit he deserves. He will get the recognition because he has achieved something no other manager might.
"He will now never ever be forgotten and this story will be told in a hundred years time because this is so rare. You cant quite believe this has happened.
"It has to be a statue for Ranieri in the morning."
