Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta will miss the next three weeks of the season after suffering a muscle tear in his left calf.

The right-back will be a major doubt for the Champions League final in Milan on May 26, should City progress from their semi-final second leg with Real Madrid on Wednesday.

Cristiano Ronaldo passed fit, Yaya Toure set to return

Writing on Twitter, Zabaleta said: "Sadly after an MRI scan I can confirm a muscle tear grade 2 in my left calf which is around 3 weeks off."

City were given some good injury news ahead of their Champions League semi-final second leg against Real Madrid on Wednesday night when it was confirmed that Yaya Toure has travelled to the game.
