Hull City have rejected an £8m offer from West Brom for midfielder Jake Livermore, Sky sources understand.

Tony Pulis is keen to add to his midfield stocks in January after allowing Craig Gardner to join former club Birmingham City on loan.

He made an offer for Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, who has since joined Everton for an initial fee of £20m, and now appears to have turned his attentions to Livermore.

The 27-year-old has been a regular in the Hull side this season, making a total of 25 appearances and scoring one goal, which came in the 3-3 draw with Crystal Palace.

He had been ever-present until new boss Marco Silva left him on the bench for the 3-1 win over Bournemouth, when he came on with only four minutes remaining.
