Ronald Koeman has told his Everton players to forget their heroics against Manchester City as they prepare to take on struggling Crystal Palace.

Everton produced one of the results of the season last Sunday when they romped to a 4-0 win against Pep Guardiola's side at Goodison Park.

After enduring a shaky run of form, the Toffees have won four of their last six Premier League games and are currently the best of the rest behind the top six.

Palace, in contrast, are outside the relegation zone on goal difference only and Sam Allardyce is still looking for his first win in the league since taking over as manager.

"It's always difficult for a new manager coming to a new place during the season. You need time, maybe they are struggling a little bit but they still have good players, they still are physically a strong team, they're strong at home.

"But we know it's a new one. We can't celebrate what we did last week because you know in football you have to prepare yourself for the next, and the next maybe is still more difficult than it was last weekend.

"You always see a difference when you have a win like City, and of course 4-0 was a big result.

"What we like is to win games. It starts always with yourself and don't look above yourself.

"Concentrate on what we need, what we like and how we like to play. That is the most important thing and then we will see what the final classification will be."
