Arsenal have been charged by UEFA for a "field invasion by supporters" during their 5-1 defeat at home to Bayern Munich.

A fan was seen running onto the pitch in the closing stages of the loss, which amounted to 10-2 over two legs in the Champions League last 16.

Bayern Munich have also been charged by UEFA over the "throwing of objects", after the club's supporters threw toilet paper rolls onto the pitch shortly after kick-off.

The action, which was taken just after kick-off and forced the match to be stopped, was in protest against ticket prices.

Bayern, who won 5-1 thanks to goals from Robert Lewandowski, Arjen Robben, Douglas Costa and a brace from Arturo Vidal, join Real Madrid in the quarter-finals so far.

Benfica and Paris Saint-Germain could be the next through, as they lead their first-leg ties 1-0 and 4-0 over Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona respectively.
