Watford and Crystal Palace are among four Premier League clubs waiting to hear if manager Marco Silva will leave Hull City.

Silva returned from trips to Portugal and Switzerland to discuss his future with Hull chairman Ehab Allam on Wednesday.

Porto, who parted company with manager Nuno Espirito Santo on Monday, are also interested in the Hull head coach.

Palace joined the list of the Premier League's managerless clubs on Tuesday when Sam Allardyce announced he was leaving with immediate effect.

Palace chairman Steve Parish is known to be a big fan of Silva and the type of football he has played on Humberside.

It is understood Silva has a release clause in his contract which would allow him to leave Hull following their relegation from the Premier League.

The 39-year-old was unable to save the club from the drop to the Championship after replacing Mike Phelan, but six home wins in the top-flight kept them alive until the penultimate game.

Hull boss Marco Silva paid his respects to the Hull fans and said he will probably decide his future by Wednesday

The club's supporters chanted for Silva to stay throughout a 7-1 defeat to Tottenham on the final day, but he said after the game: "I need to think and see what is the best solution, not only for the club, but for me as a coach and for my career.

"I need to decide. The club needs to know and start to do things differently to last summer. It's clear that you start to win or lose with everything you do in the summer when you prepare the season and the team.

"I am sure next Wednesday we will decide."
