Huddersfield have parted with head of football operations David Moss after just four months in the role.
The ex-Celtic scout was the club's de facto sporting director, overseeing their summer recruitment drive after joining in June earlier this year.
The Terriers spent just under £40m on 10 players in the summer, including a club-record £11.4m on striker Steve Mounie from Montpellier, after promotion to the Premier League under David Wagner last term.
But after an excellent start to the campaign, including an historic victory over Manchester United at the weekend, the club announced Moss has left the club by mutual consent.
A statement read: Huddersfield Town can today confirm that Head of Football Operations David Moss has vacated his role at the club by mutual consent.
"The club will now begin the search for a new Head of Football Operations. Everyone at Huddersfield Town would like to wish David all the best in his future endeavours."
Moss, 49, played for Swansea City and eight other clubs before working for a scout for the Swans and then Crystal Palace, before eventually joining Celtic.
