Armand Traore is confident Portsmouth will bounce back against Blackburn on Sunday.

Portsmouth full-back hopes to build on AC Milan stalemate

On-loan Portsmouth defender Armand Traore is confident the club will bounce back from their midweek disappointment when they host Blackburn Rovers on Sunday. Tony Adams' charges were on the brink of a memorable scalp as they took a two-goal lead against Italian giants AC Milan in the Uefa Cup. However, Pompey hearts were broken as Milan struck twice in the final six minutes to salvage a late draw at Fratton Park. Portsmouth return to domestic action versus Rovers, seeking their second league triumph in seven outings. Traore, who is on loan from Arsenal, has praised his team-mates after they battled versus Milan and is confident they can build on the display.

Proud

The Frenchman told The News: "We have nothing to be disappointed about with AC Milan. "The team and Tony are really happy about it. We played really good, and even though they came back, we believe we got something out of it. "It will not affect us against Blackburn, we still did well. I have to admit, we deserved to win. "Maybe we need to work on not conceding goals in the last few minutes, but next we have Blackburn and we are confident going into that after such a good result."
